The Smiths, la banda más trascendental de los últimos 20 años de la escena independiente mundial, regresa con un recopilatorio (un disco doble) cargado de lados B, rarezas y participaciones en vivo. Este trabajo cuenta con la participación de Morrisey (lead) y Johnny Mar (guitar), juntos por primera vez en lo que a recopilatorios se refiere.
Así pues The Sounds of Smiths desde ya se convierte en una pieza ejemplar e imperdible del rock británico independiente. Por si fuera poco el primer disco comienza con la canción más ambigua y enigmática que Morrisey nos dejó y que puso a Manchester en los ojos del mundo: Hand in Glove.
Finalmente a propósito de la participación en común entre Morrisey y Mar, será esta la posibilidad de un futuro retorno de The Smiths ? Soñar, no cuesta nada.
